Biography
After leaving film school where he studied photography and graphics, Phil began his career editing commercials in Manchester. While still cutting, he began to foster a reputation for directing dance music videos for such luminaries as Lucid, Certain ratio and Sub Sub; all bringing swift critical acclaim.
The transition to full time director followed quickly, but the mastery of post production and delicate timing acquired in the cutting room is still very much in evidence in his work. Award winning commercials such as 'Goldfish' and 'Beckham' showcase a passion for working in CGI and a strong photographic flair.
Soon after moving to London, Phil was asked to direct 'lifeblood'. The high profile campaign for the carbon trust attracted the attention of the press and launched the UK campaign to lower emissions before being used around the world by green campaigners.
Phil is a dynamic and versatile, highly visual director at ease with actors non actors and children od all ages. with the international brand experience on his reel of Mazda, Unilever, Vidal Sassoon, Playstation, and Tennent's.
